7 Free Blogging Tools to Keep You Organized
OK Bloggers, let’s be real. On we may go into Monday with the best of intentions to stay organized, but by weeks end that neatly written to-do list is likely a pile of post-its stuck to the edges of our laptop.
Anyone else with me?
Well, if you are like me, you’re going to LOVE what I’m about to share with you!
Below are six of my favorite tools to get and keep your life, blog, and business organized. I’ve personally used each of these and I have found them all to be useful for keeping up with my multiple to-do lists! So without further ado….
If you’re a visual person, you’re going to LOVE Trello! Basically, take all those post-it notes with to-do’s written on them, and put them in one convenient, well-organized location! Here’s an example of a Trello board:
In the boards, you can move tasks from one board to the next to keep track of where you are in the process. For writing posts, I like to set up boards for post ideas, post drafts, posts ready to schedule, and post images ready to be inserted! This way I never lose track of a blog post idea and can keep track of where I am with each post easily!
I love Trello because not only does it keep my post-it-note chaos under control, I can also color coordinate my boards, assign tasks to my team, and keep up-to-date as things get done! What’s even better, they have an app so you can keep up with managing your tasks on the go! I list this as my #1 tool for a reason… it works!
The basic version of Trello is 100% free and is great for small teams or individuals. If you have a bigger team, it’s definitely worth looking into Trello Gold, which allows you to upload large attachments and share them with your team and adds more customization to your boards!
If you’ve spent time on my site, you know I LOVE bundles! I mean, if you were offered one shirt for $35 or a whole outfit for $40, you’d probably take the outfit, right?!
That’s exactly what this super-bundle is all about!! With Conquer Your Clutter, you get 38 tools and resources that will allow you to declutter, de-stress, and become more organized!
These resources are amazing! All of those books and printables you see in the picture above – yeah, you get them all! While I love apps and digital organization resources, sometimes I just want a good old pen and paper to help me get organized! With this bundle, you get digital, print, and everything in between!!
Seriously, this is a must-have for my #girlbosses juggling it all!
Google Drive has been a lifesaver for my blog and photography business! For me, the best part Google Drive is having access to all my files, images, and folders from anywhere! What’s even better… you get 15GB of storage FREE! I’ve saved high quality, RAW images to my drive and still haven’t run out of storage. Awesome.
Amazon Drive, similar to Google Drive, allows you to backup your files and access them from anywhere! I personally find Amazon Drive a little easier to use with some social media platforms, specifically Instagram. With this app, I can make all my social media posts in advance and save them to my drive. Easy Peasy!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be tied to my computer 24/7… so having access to all my social media files at the tip of my fingers at all times, making it easy for me to post from anywhere is a life (and time) saver! 🙂
Cozi is AMAZING, especially for you Mom Bloggers out there! Not only can you keep up with your blogging life, you can organize your entire family life in one easy, convenient place! You can access Cozi from on iPhones & Androids, so you always have your tasks at your fingertips!
Similar to Cozi, Remember the Milk allows you to organize more than just your blog! This app, available on Apple and Android, organizes your to-do lists and categorizes items in lists and sublists. This nifty app lets you share your lists, so others can add items to it, and even lets you search within the app to find specific tasks on your list! This one is a must-use for any busy blogger!
I discovered IFTTT when I was trying to automate social media posts without spending an arm and a leg! IFTTT stands for ‘If This Then That’ and is very user-friendly. Several other apps work in conjunction with IFTTT to help you not only organize your day-to-day but even automate certain areas like social media, emails to your subscribers, and even weather updates to shorten your to-do list!
And there you go! Six of my favorite resources to keep my life and my blog organized! I hope you find these tools as useful as I have!
